These Terms and Conditions, as may be amended from time to time, apply to all our services directly or indirectly (through distributors) made available online, through any mobile device, by email or by telephone. By accessing, browsing and using our website or any of our applications through whatever platform (hereafter collectively referred to as the "website") and/or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below (including the privacy statement).

These pages, the content and infrastructure of these pages, and the online reservations service provided on these pages and through the website ("Portugal Bike Tours") are owned, operated and provided by BTTour - Portugal Bike Team.

Bookings

Make your reservation for your Bike Trip as soon as possible to ensure that you have a place on the tour you wish to take.

Deposit

After you receive confirmation from BTTour - Portugal Bike that your booking is possible, you have to pay for a deposit in the amount of Euro 500/person by Bank Transfer to our bank account or via PayPal within five business days.

Final Payment

The final payment for your Portugal Bike Tour is due until 90 days before the date of your bicycle tour. If you pay via PayPal, BTTour - Portugal Bike is responsible for the costs. If you pay via Bank Transfer, you will be responsible for the transfer costs.

If we don't receive final payment until 90 days before the date of your bicycle tour, the tour is cancelled and there is no refund of the paid deposit. If booking occurs in less than 90 days before the date of the tour, full payment is required to confirm the departure.

Cancellation / Annulment

As we are a company that develops outdoor activities, BTTour - Portugal Bike is subject to weather conditions at the time of the activity. Therefore, BTTour - Portugal Bike reserves the right to change itineraries or tour arrangements in the event that weather conditions may endanger the SAFETY of our Clients. The following are examples of weather/environmental conditions that impact itinerary plans: landslide, trees blown off/fallen, cyclonic wind, earthquakes, rushing streams of water, heavy rain, fire or risk of fire.

For those who have made a reservation and paid for a Bike Tour in Portugal and then decide to cancel the tour, the following terms will be applied:

Safety

You are cycling in Portugal now: The participants must always follow the Guide's directions and respect his decisions, because the Guide knows the country and the bike course better than anyone else in the group, and his priority is the SAFETY of every participant in the group.

Our priority is SAFETY. Our aim is that everybody enjoys the bicycle tour; however, everyone must take into account that his/her behavior cannot hinder the safety and enjoyment of the entire group.

Right of withdrawal due to BTTour-PortugalBike's non fulfillment

The Client is entitled to withdraw the contract at any time in case of BTTour-PortugalBike's non fulfillment, and BTTour is bound to refund the amount paid in advance, deducting the cost that the withdrawal may have caused and a part of the service's price that cannot be more than 15%.

Refund

BTTour - Portugal Bike is not responsible for refunding paid services that are not used by the Client.

Insurance

BTTour - Portugal Bike is fully insured according to the Portuguese law in force for its activity. All participants on our bike tours will be insured for Personal Accidents (policy no. 027/00002904 by Liberty Seguros) in the amount of € 3500 for medical expenses and € 20 000 in case of death or permanent disability. We also have limited liability insurance (policies no. 095/00934296 and 095/00216541 by Liberty Seguros) in the amount of € 75 000.

Eligible Limit of Liability

BTTour-PortugalBike's liability for the deterioration, destruction and subtraction of luggage or other items in a hotel or touristic accommodations, while the Client is staying there has the following limits:
a) Euro 1397, globally;
b) Euro 449 per item;
c) The value declared by the Client, when he/she requested the hotel to look after them.

BTTour - Portugal Bike is entitled to the right of recourse upon the suppliers of services or goods regarding the amounts paid as compensation under the terms of the previous paragraph. BTTour-PortugalBike's liability regarding non-physical damages may be contractually limited to the amount corresponding to five times the price of the service that was sold. BTTour - Portugal Bike complies with the Portuguese Law regarding the handling of claims.

Responsibility / Liability

Riding a bicycle is an adventure and it involves some risks. Participating in a Portugal Bike Tour implies the awareness and acceptance of this increased risk on behalf of the participant. When you submit the Registration Form you agree to accept all the conditions included in the Registration Form and its Terms and Conditions. When we accept your reservation, we agree to carry out our obligations to you as defined in this document and other information provided to you.

Client’s responsibility

During the bicycle tour, the client is responsible for the rented bicycle. The bicycle cannot be left unattended and must be handled properly. If the bike is stolen or if any part is damaged due to misuse, the client must pay for the respective loss. On a self-guided bike tour, the client is responsible for the bicycle during the tour and he/she must be able to solve any problem that may occur on the bicycle during the tour, such as a flat tire or a breaking of the chain, etc.

Photographs

BTTour - Portugal Bike is entitled to use the photographs taken during Portugal Bike activities for bona fide promoting and marketing purposes for our rides only.

Taxes

Taxes are included, except for the municipal tax that is required in some towns (Euro 1 or 2 per person); this will be charged directly by the hotel when it applies.
