    Arrival

Welcome at Porto or Lisbon airport. Lodging in a Hotel located in a green environment overlooking to a beautiful landscape. Briefing about your cycling tour in Portugal.

    Day 2

The Fortified Town at the Border with Spain

The bicycle day of today is almost flat and on bike-lanes :). Just when you are very near the town where you are going to stay some climbs appear. After km 18 everything changes, and here you are very close to the hotel. But before you go to the hotel you do a small loop in Spain! You only need to cross the bridge to the other side. At km 23, in Spain, a small climb comes up. After this, very close to km 26, already in Portugal, again, it is time to climb 1 mile on a bike-lane (2,6% grade) to the top of the town and to the hotel, that is right there, with a great view over the river and Spain. 🙂

    Day 4

    The Atlantic Coast

Another very easy bike day, this time along the Atlantic Coast; sometimes on bike-lanes, other times on the asphalted ways and it also includes some sections on cobblestones. You will have a very short but steep climb at km 17, a small section on bike-lane that is only 200 meters long. Grany gear on your bicycle is necessary! Further, to come down, the way is a little bit rough and it is better to push the bike (100 meters long) ;). The way continues very flat, always along the coast with really great views, until you get to the hotel. 🙂

    Day 5

The Oldest Small Town in Portugal

The bike day of today is a little bit different: you go inland and it is a kind of a Safari :D, in the forest at the begining, always on dirt roads, some single tracks in the middle, and along the river. You will find some dust on the way, if the weather is too dry. Pay attention to the pavement! 😉

    Day 6

A Beautiful Medieval Small Town and its Green Environment

This is the most demanding day, comparing with the easy previous days. You continue to ride your bicycle along the river, but the environment is more hilly, with several ups and downs on the road. At km 17,5 you will have 1km of climb with 5% of grade, and at km 19,5 you will have another climb that is almost 2km long and with 4,5% of grade. After this you will soon get to the hotel. 🙂
